AV Group NB Inc. Nackawic Mill is currently recruiting for a Relief Security Officer to join our Safety, Health & Environment Department.

Role Overview

The Relief Security Officer plays a key role in the department and is responsible for covering vacation, floaters, sickness, bereavement and other related requests. The successful candidate must be able to work a flexible schedule and have the ability to adjust schedules with short notice. As the Relief Security Officer, the successful applicant must have strong communication skills and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and discretion.

Responsibilities Include

• Plant protection (facility access, fire monitoring and dispatch, traffic control);
• Ensure compliance to existing policies for those entering the site (swipe system, PPE, etc.);
• After hours First Aid Coverage, Emergency Response;
• Act as point of entry at the mill facility;
• Oversee safety orientation of new hires and contractors.

Qualifications

• 2 years post-secondary and or equivalent work experience in a similar role;
• Previous experience as a security officer or within law enforcement, would be considered an asset;
• First Aid / CPR training, would be considered an asset;
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office;
• Ability to communicate effectively & work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders;
• Ability to work shift work (5am to 5pm and 5pm to 5am).
