About the role

Key Function:

As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing a variety of general Nuclear Medicine, Nuclear Cardiology, and PET/CT procedures in accordance with clinical protocols, legislative requirements, and departmental standards. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, accurate, and compassionate diagnostic imaging services.

Note: It's a travel nursing opportunity not specific to one location.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostic nuclear medicine and PET/CT imaging procedures.
  • Follow all professional standards as outlined by the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO).
  • Adhere to protocols regarding radiation safety, patient care, and equipment usage.
  • Collaborate with radiologists and interdisciplinary healthcare professionals.
  • Ensure accurate recordkeeping and image archiving.
  • Travel between local sites as required.

Qualifications:

Education & Certification:

  • Minimum Advanced Diploma (3 years) in Molecular Imaging from an accredited college.
  • Registered with CMRITO in good standing (required).
  • CAMRT certification (preferred).
  • Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) training (preferred).
  • Ministry of Labour's “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” certificate (required).
  • Successful Vulnerable Sector Check (required).

  • Ability to meet the physical and sensory demands of the job.
  • Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and travel between local healthcare sites.

Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Brampton, ON: reliably commute or be willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

  • CMRTO (required)
