Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in the homecare setting. This role is essential in ensuring that our clients receive the highest quality of care and support, enabling them to maintain their dignity and independence.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
• Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition for clients.
• Medication Reminders for the client.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Help with mobility and physical activities to promote overall well-being.
• Maintain accurate records of client care and report any changes to the supervising nurse or healthcare professional.
• Support clients with dementia care by implementing appropriate strategies for communication and engagement.
• Collaborate with the Care Planner & Client and Caregiver Experience Specialist

to ensure comprehensive care for each client.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in nursing homes, home care, assisted living, or hospice care is preferred.
• Knowledge of caregiving best practices and senior care principles.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
• Compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Personal Support Worker Diploma.
• Have a drivers license/own a vehicle.
• Must have an active work/study visa (if applicable).

Pay: $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift
• Evening shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift
• Night shift
• Weekends as needed

• Fredericton, NB (required)
