As a Caseworker in Richmond, BC, you will play a crucial role in connecting clients to the right resources, helping them navigate their way to independence, and receiving holistic support through our ASPIRE program.
Role Overview :
Under the direction of the Manager, you will enforce the mission of our ASPIRE program, which is dedicated to promoting client development and independence. This program focuses on six core areas: Food Insecurity, Housing, Education, Skills Development, Employment, and Mental Health Support. You will act as a liaison between clients and readily available resources, empowering clients as they strive for self-reliance.
What You Will Do :
- Client Engagement and Support: Meet with clients, assess their needs, prepare detailed action plans, and facilitate their registration with the ASPIRE Program.
- Resource Connection: Help clients in activities like learning to use public transport, registering for programs or benefits, and receiving cultural orientation.
- Holistic Support: Connect clients with available and appropriate services and resources as outlined in their personalized action plans.
- Oversee and mentor volunteer community caseworkers.
- Program Promotion: Promote MFBCS and the ASPIRE program through outreach and presentations to businesses, community groups, and other organizations.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed records using our computerized case management system and prepare regular reports on activities and client progress.
- Organize and facilitate self-development workshops.
What We’re Looking For :
- Education & Experience : Diploma in Social Services , Psychology, or a related field, with experience in case management, preferably in a non-profit or community service setting.
- Language Skills : We are actively looking for someone who is fluent in English . Knowing any other languages is a bonus! Proficiency in the clients' native languages is highly desirable.
- Skills : Excellent interpersonal communication skills, proficient in planning and executing client-focused action plans.
- Attributes : Compassionate, dedicated, and client-focused, with a deep understanding of and respect for Muslim cultural sensitivities.
