Horizon Recruitment Inc. is searching for a Manager, FP&A to join a well-established, stable leader in the logistics and transportation industry. This newly created role comes as the company continues to expand, adding critical capability to its dynamic finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned finance professional who excels in budgeting, forecasting, and data analytics and wants to play a key leadership role guiding financial strategy in a complex, asset-intensive environment. You'll work cross-functionally to deliver actionable insights, improve systems, and drive performance.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the annual budgeting process, partnering with stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment, clarity, and accuracy.
- Develop and maintain long-term financial projections, including operating, capital, and cash flow forecasts.
- Oversee monthly financial working papers, audit support, and reporting deliverables.
- Build and maintain robust financial models to support new initiatives, projects, and contract evaluations.
- Identify and drive process improvements across the finance function by streamlining reporting and enhancing the use of financial systems.
- Design and update dashboards and financial reports leveraging Power BI and modern analytics tools.
- Provide financial leadership on ERP and technology projects, supporting system upgrades and implementation initiatives.
- Prepare and deliver insights that guide strategic and operational decision-making by senior leadership.
- Perform other duties to support the finance team’s evolving needs.
Requirements:
- CPA designation required.
- Minimum of 7 years’ experience in FP&A, financial modeling, and business analysis, ideally in an industrial, transportation, or asset-heavy environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with strong working knowledge of Power BI and Microsoft Power Platform.
- Hands-on experience with JD Edwards or comparable ERP systems.
- In-depth understanding of big data concepts and data-driven decision-making.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence, coach, and collaborate across departments.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
