Opportunity
The Department of Professional Health Education (PHE) is seeking instructors experienced in teaching Basic Life Support including the following topics:
- Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for victims of all ages;
- Responding quickly to a variety of emergencies, including cardiac arrest, anaphylaxis, drowning, heart attack, stroke, and opioid associated emergencies; and
- Delivering these skills as a single rescuer and as a member of a multi-rescuer team.
SKILLS
You will have:
- Demonstrate strong ethical leadership;
- Strong communication skills;
- Familiarity with using technology, including using the Heart and Stroke portal; and
- Familiarity with life support equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Current Heart and Stroke Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor certification.
- Core Instructor Training Certificate.
- Previous experience teaching adult students.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
