About the role

Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Senior Specialist, Oracle HCM, on a permanent basis.

We’ve been transforming HR technology across the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS), and we’re looking for a senior Oracle HCM expert to help drive what’s next. We need someone with hands-on experience across multiple modules who can provide expert-level guidance on HR systems architecture, operational processes, and data integration. This role is ideal for someone who picks things up quickly, leads with humility, and values strong interpersonal relationships. You’ll provide Tier 3 support, help mature our team’s practices, and influence how we work. If you're collaborative, drive results, and are excited by both people and process, please apply!

This position is a remote opportunity and can be based across Western Canada.

What you’ll do:

  • Lead the elicitation and analysis of system and functional requirements using various methodologies (e.g., workshops, use cases, interviews) to drive solution design and implementation.
  • Analyze business readiness and feasibility, prepare impact assessments, and plan implementations that balance stakeholder needs and system integration impacts.
  • Develop test plans (functional, integration, regression, UAT), coordinate user testing, and support SaaS system releases by managing communication and test rollouts.
  • Configure Oracle HCM across all modules and implement enhancement requests to improve functionality and user experience.
  • Resolve tier 3 incidents by conducting thorough testing and impact analysis.
  • Support team members through informal leadership; sharing expertise, supporting technical growth, and acting as a liaison between teams.

Who you’ll work with:

You will report to the Senior Manager, HR Systems on a team that strives to cultivate a culture of innovation, customer service, and support. You will work closely with several System Support Specialists, providing them with mentorship and guidance. The successful candidate will collaborate with HR professionals across the Co-operative retailing System (CRS) to analyze the current state of our HR technology and address opportunities for enhancement.

Why it matters:

We help local Co-ops grow and thrive by offering a range of professional services, including marketing, market research, information technology, human resources, accounting, risk management and business development.

Who are you:

You are looking for a career in HR Systems and Information Technology and:

  • Have 6-9 years of relevant progressively responsible experience, preferably in a retail IT environment.
  • Have a bachelor’s degree majoring in computer science or business (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
  • Hold a business analysis certification (CCBA, CBAP).
  • Hold ITIL certification.
  • Have an understanding of PMBOK (considered an asset).

What we offer:

  • Competitive salaries, short-term incentives, a comprehensive benefits package, and an employer-contributed pension plan.
  • Encouragement to take advantage of learning opportunities to grow and develop as a Team Member.
  • As a co-operative, we do business differently. We believe in working together to serve Western Canadians, delivering profits back to our communities and investing in sustainable growth. To learn more about who we are and what we offer, visit www.fcl.crs.

If this opportunity speaks to you, we invite you to apply by August 4, 2025.
