Position Overview

Preferred start Date: August5, 202****5

Preferred Work Term Length: 12-16 months

Preferred Education: 3rd, or 4****th year Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.

Location**: Calgary, Alberta**

Eligibility: Students must be enrolled in a formal co-op/internship program with their post-secondary institution OR Students must be returning to their post-secondary institution after this work term.

The Role

We’re seeking a Production Co-op Student to join our North America – Development & Production Team. Reporting to the Manager, Production, you´ll be working with a team of dedicated employees across North America.

During your work term, we will push you to be your best by exposing you to challenging projects and giving you the opportunity to take ownership of your work term. You will gain practical experience, develop technical skills to complement your academic learning, and gain exposure to future opportunities at our company. To succeed, you’ll need to cultivate and communicate a clear vision and set goals for yourself, whilst also juggling individual country specific targets.

Some of the key responsibilities of the Production Co-op Student will be:

  • Support Production engineering weekly and month end reports, water well correction. Update associated well tags on IOCC dashboard.
  • Monitor diluent import and PDH export shipments, update daily batch schedules to mitigate potential
  • Attend daily production meeting to understand plant updates and communicate any changes.
  • Assist with monthly production accounting reports, marketing nomination forecasts, over-blending and losses of opportunity reports, etc.
  • Review shipper tickets and conduct monthly reconciliations against balance statements.
  • Update monthly inputs for the Variable Opex model, support WP&B preparation, and conduct variance analysis.
  • Support coordination of Management Control Reporting System (MCRS) meetings by preparing slide decks and tracking action items.
  • Support ad-hoc requests from HQ and optimization projects as needed.

To be eligible for our co-op student program, you must be enrolled in a co-op/internship program sponsored by an accredited post-secondary institution.
