We are looking for Forklift Drivers to join our growing organization and support our Warehouse team!
Key Objectives
Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Forklift Operator is responsible for daily warehouse task completion ensuring quality, order integrity, and schedule fulfillment are met while working in a safe manner according to operational policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Moving product on pallets or in crates around the storage facility
- Stacking goods in the correct storage bays, following inventory control instructions
- Stacking empty pallets
- Operate forklift in a safe manner
- Complete all required paperwork while ensuring legibility and accuracy
- Ensure pallets are properly labeled and stored in the correct locations
- Remove products from the palletizer in a timely manner
- Perform general warehouse cleaning duties (sweeping floors, trailers, storage)
- Understand and demonstrate GMPs, FIFO principles
- Able to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all duties
- Ensure all orders are accurately assembled, and report any product that does not meet quality standards
- Understand inventory management principles and be able to assist in month-end inventory procedures
- Perform ad hoc duties as assigned by supervisor
Example schedule: 12-hour straight continental shifts either on Days (7am-7pm) or Nights (7pm-7am)
Week 1: 2 days on (Mon & Tues), 2 off (Wed & Thurs), 3 days on (Fri-Sun)
Week 2: 2 days off (Mon & Tues), 2 days on (Wed & Thurs), 3 days off (Fri-Sun)
** Weekend Shift Premium** of $2.00 per hour
** Night Shift Premium** of $4.00 per hour
Education, Skills, and Experience
- High School completion or equivalent
- 2+ years Warehouse experience
- Valid Forklift Certification is an asset
- Recent Forklift Experience is an asset
- Strong communication skills: verbal, written and the ability to read English
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Computer literate
