Overview:
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Worker is responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of warehouse logistics. They are responsible for transporting furniture, appliances, electronics, and other items safely and timely between the warehouse and specified locations. Operating various types of warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, is a key aspect of the role.
Additionally, Warehouse Workers assist in loading and unloading shipments, verifying inventory, and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and pickups. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a focus on safety are essential qualities for success in this position. Excellent communication skills are also crucial for coordinating with other warehouse staff to ensure seamless operations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, the Warehouse Worker is responsible for:
- Receiving and warehouse storage of product
- Picking and staging product for outbound shuttles
- Proper handling of all product
- Working with little supervision
- Providing professional customer purchase carry-out service
- Assembling various furniture products in the warehouse
- Operating a lift truck/order picker, after receiving training
- Perform all other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Good attendance record, reliability and maturity
- Good communication skills
- Ability to lift 120lbs repetitively and work at heights
- Great organizational and time management skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
- Strong customer service skills
- Valid G license with clean driver’s abstract
