Investment Accounting Operations
About the role
Responsibilities
- Support daily and monthly activity of the investment portfolios including investment accounting, reconciliations, and fee management.
- Process relevant accounting entries associated with corporate actions events and lifecycle activity for equities, derivatives, and fixed income products.
- Utilize advanced analytic and research skills to rectify variations in positions, cash, and other key portfolio activity to drive performance and optimize front-office effectiveness.
- Serve as operational support to the front office as needed.
- Communicate with external partners, including, but not limited to custodians, administrators, bank services, and others.
- Provide support for continuous improvement through streamlining processes and optimizing reconciliation structures.
- Maintain procedures and internal control documentation. Identify operational process improvements and recommend solutions to stakeholders.
The Ideal Candidate (Skills Required)
- Experience working within SimCorp Dimension (preferred).
- Significant accounting experience across the investment universe.
- Thorough knowledge of corporate action and lifecycle activity processing, domestically and internationally.
- Advanced analytic and problem-solving skills. Previous experience with researching with Bloomberg or equivalent investment industry data providers (preferred).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of public market, derivatives, and multi-asset products.
- Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, economics, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related industry strongly preferred.
