Here at Cancer Care Alberta, it is our goal to be a leader in cancer prevention, diagnosis, treatment, survivorship and palliative care, all on a foundation of world-class research. We are currently accepting applications for a casual Financial Grants Administrator to join our Clinical Research Unit (CRU) at the Arthur J.E. Child Comprehensive Cancer Centre. The Financial Grants Administrator performs a wide variety of accounting duties covering accounts receivable, accounts payable, study accounts reconciliation and analysis, as well as assisting with other financial and administrative duties. As a member of the Arthur Child CRU Finance Team, this position works closely with other Financial Grants Administrators under the direction of the Finance Lead, Senior Financial Analyst - Clinical Research Finance, Business Advisory Services, and the CRU Manager.

Required Qualifications:

Post secondary education in accounting or business administration. Preference will be given to those with previous experience in a research, healthcare or academic environment. Applicants may be tested for appropriate skills.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a research financial management setting. Solid knowledge of accounting principles and practices. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Experience performing and learning complex administrative tasks under minimal supervision or guidance. A demonstrated clear pattern of professional and personal development. Ability to manage finances in a changing and multifaceted environment with diverse and complex issues. Effective communicator with superior organizational skills and attention to detail, and an ability to work within a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in research administration or clinical trials procedures as well as working knowledge of AHS Finance is an asset.
