Job Description Sales Representative (75% travel - Road Warrior)
Looking for an ambitious B2B Sales Representative. This is a Remote position where candidate will live 1 hour from Toronto Pearson airport.
- 5 - 7 years of experience in B2B Sales (Automotive Aftermarket, Manufacturing Sales)
- Plan your own trips and time to travel across Canada and visits customers for cross-selling and up-selling.
- Ability to ask questions, form relationships quickly and travel 75% across Canada (Minimum 3 overnight stays in hotels).
- Territory: All of Canada (ON, QC, MB, SK).
- Salary: $70,000 per annum (Base salary). Commissions: Uncapped. (Roughly $25k/$35k in first year)
- Car Allowance: $0.63 cents per km. Company Credit Card, Car Rental Vehicle
The Account Manager owns the day-to-day customer relationship. Responsible for managing and growing accounts, ensuring customer satisfaction and driving sales growth. Role requires an understanding of fabricating equipment, excellent communication skills and a proven track record in account management.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling within existing customer accounts to drive revenue growth (Focus on software, service and training sales transfer new machine sales to Sales Development Engineers)
- Manage and develop relationships with key customer accounts, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Work closely with sales team to achieve sales targets and align company services with customer needs.
- Create and execute strategic account plans that drive both customer success and business growth.
- Regular monitor track and report on the status of accounts including sales results, activity reports and customer KPIs to sales leadership.
Qualifications You will possess: Educational Background
- A technical education/experience is recommendedthis may include a degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
- Education/experience in business administration, sales, or customer relationship management can be considered.
Professional Experience
- 3+ years of experience in account management, customer satisfaction, or technical sales rolespreferably in capital equipment aftersales, automotive aftersales, or B2B manufacturing environments.
- Customer First Mindset. Deeply committed to solving customer problems and enhancing satisfaction.
- Ability to travel (75%) of the time within a large territory (Canada). Able to plan weekly customer visits to SW Ontario, Quebec and West Canada (MB, SK).
- Sales-oriented: Understands how to grow accounts through upselling, cross-selling, and long-term engagement. Manages a pipeline through the use of CRM
- Technically fluent: Capable of understanding and discussing equipment functionality, software, and service offerings.
- Proven experience in managing complex customer relationships, upselling service and software solutions, and contributing to measurable revenue growth.
- Exposure to fabrication, sheet metal, or CNC machine tool industries is strongly preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration with sales, service, and operations teams.
