About the role

Position Overview

The incumbent is responsible for providing clerical support to the HSC Security Services department including processing job postings and related paperwork, maintaining position control, registering new hires in orientation sessions, ensuring that the Manager(s) is/are aware of staffing levels, maintaining information and employee profiles in the staff scheduling system, updating the day to day schedule changes in and running staffing reports as requested. Enters reports in the security reporting program. Performs duties in the Access Card office.  and performs other clerical duties as assigned.

Experience

  • Minimum two years previous related experience, preferably in a health care setting.
  • Experience with the SAP payroll program preferred.
  • Experience with scheduling including long call and short call required.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Complete Grade 12 education, Manitoba standards, required.
  • Successful completion of a recognized secretarial training program required.
  • A combination of education and experience may be considered.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills required.
  • Must have excellent English communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Typing 50 wpm.
  • Knowledge of personal computers and proficiency in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be able to function in a high volume, high traffic environment.
