Shared Health leads the planning and coordinates the integration of patient-centered clinical and preventive health services across Manitoba. The organization also delivers some province-wide health services and supports centralized administrative and business functions for Manitoba health organizations.

Position Overview

As an EKG Technologist, the incumbent performs all routine and special EKG related procedures, trains Medical Technologists and ancillary staff in EKG procedures, maintains the EKG quality control program. The EKG Technologist functions in accordance with Shared Health’s mission, goals, objectives, policies and procedures, and any applicable legislation.

Experience

  • Several years related experience and/or demonstrated experience sufficient to perform duties.
  • Supervisory experience and/or training an asset.

Education (Degree/Diploma/Certificate)

  • Advanced Registered Cardiology Technician.

Certification/Licensure/Registration

  • Certified and currently registered with the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Must be proficient in related diagnostic procedures, ability to operate and maintain equipment.
  • Ability to teach and supervise others.
  • Ability to build a productive and efficient team bases working environment.
