About the role

  • Responsible for administration tasks, managing inventory and tracking inventory

  • Responsible for cleaning, inspecting, repairing and maintenance on various equipment such as gas detection, breathing apparatus, and breathing air systems

  • Conducting respirator fit testing for internal and external staff

  • Reporting all injuries, incidents, and hazardous conditions to your supervisor

  • Other duties as assigned

  • Must be willing to travel out of town for work and able to workday and/or night shift

  • Must be willing to be clean shaven while on site

  • Proven track record of exceptional customer service

  • Strong written, communication, and computer skills

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team environment

  • Capability to work well with a wide variety of people including office and field staff, diverse cultures, and various work experience levels

  • Dedicated attention to detail with solid organizational and time management skills

  • Ability to pass Drug and Alcohol testing

  • Standard First Aid CPR/AED Level C

  • Common Safety Orientation (CSO)

  • H2S Alive

  • Class 5 Driver’s License and clean Driver’s Abstract is preferred. Successful completion of our extensive two-week in-house training courses at our Leduc office.

Preference given to those with Safety Equipment Experience in:

  • 3M/Scott/MSA/Honeywell - Experience maintaining Supplied-Air and Air-Purifying Respirators, SCBAs and SABA’s

  • MSA/OTIS/Honeywell/Blackline/Draeger - Bump Testing, Calibration and Configuration of various Gas Detection

  • Jordair - Operation of Breathing Air Compressor, Frag Fill Stations and Cascade systems

  • DBI/MSA/Protecta/SafetyDirect - Fall Arrest Equipment Inspections such as SRDs, SRL’s, Tripods, Harnesses

  • TSI & Honeywell - Quantitative Fit Testing
