Job Description

We are currently seeking an Information Quality Specialist to join our team in Toronto, ON. The Information Quality Specialist will be responsible for Developing quality measures for monitoring project information and supporting the review of exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) and will have the opportunity to work on the Metrolinx Ontario Line Project. Join us in this full-time permanent role and be a champion of diversity and inclusion.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Implement and maintain ISO 19650-compliant information management processes across projects and teams.

  • Develop quality measures for monitoring project information, including naming conventions, metadata requirements, and data validation protocols.

  • Support the review of Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs) effectiveness, conformance and alignment with project goals.

  • Coordinate with Project Information Managers and Delivery Managers to ensure timely and accurate information delivery issues are identified and develop solutions for implementation.

  • Monitor and review the Common Data Environment (CDE) to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and compliance.

  • Support quality assurance reviews of BIM Execution Plans (BEPs), Master Information Delivery Plans (MIDPs), and Task Information Delivery Plans (TIDPs).

  • Provide training and guidance to project teams on ISO 19650 principles and best practices.

  • Support digital transformation initiatives by promoting structured data and information governance.

  • Support development and achieving information quality KPI’s as set by the project.

  • Develop information quality best practices, capture and monitor trends to overall improve project information

  • Support implementation of information exchange between parties and establish quality standards for information exchange

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in information management or BIM roles within the AEC industry

  • In-depth knowledge of ISO 19650 with 3 years of experience in standards and their application in real-world projects.

  • Experience working with Common Data Environments (CDEs) and digital collaboration platforms (e.g., Project Wise, Autodesk BIM 360, Aconex, Asite).

  • Strong understanding of data quality principles, metadata management, and structured information delivery.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.

  • ISO 19650 certification or training.

  • Experience with BIM coordination and model validation tools (e.g., Solibri, Navisworks).

  • Familiarity with project delivery frameworks (e.g., Design-Bid-Build, Design-Build).

  • Knowledge of information security and legal considerations related to digital project delivery.

  • Analytical thinking and attention to detail

  • Process-oriented mindset

  • Strong organizational and documentation skills

  • Collaborative and proactive approach

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
