EARLY CHILDHOOD EDUCATION SERVICES MANAGER
Brampton Caledon Community Living (BCCL), a recognized leader in developmental services and a non-profit organization that supports and empowers people to lead enriched and meaningful lives, is seeking a Full-Time Early Childhood Education Services Manager committed to the growth, development and inclusion of all children, including children with a developmental disability, in our schools and community. The successful candidate will have demonstrated supervisory and leadership experience and a strong grounding in the early childhood education field.
The Early Childhood Education Manager will be responsible for providing operational and supervisory support to a team of early childhood educators and consultants, report to the Director of Community Resources and will participate in regional planning that is predicated upon the pillars of child, family, licensed early learning and care, school, community and professionalism.
Position Expectations:
- Demonstrate a commitment to Brampton Caledon Community Living’s vision, mission, and values
- Knowledge of child development best practices and current research in early childhood resource consultation
- Coach, mentor and model best practices and strategies related to early childhood resource consultation and family support
- Work proactively with childcare centers to address needs and problem solve as required
- Collaboratively work in partnership with other service providers, agencies and community partners
- Participate in budget development and manage budget expenditures to ensure effective use of all resources and fiscal accountability
- Create strong team-based cultures within the department by way of establishing team norms, goal planning, regularly planned team meetings, effective communication strategies and conflict resolution
- Identify and address employee performance issues in a timely manner
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Early Childhood Education Diploma plus either a Resource Teacher Certificate or Certificate of Advanced Studies in Special Needs or a recognized B.A. in Early Childhood Education with a focus on Special Needs
- Registered in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (RECE)
- 3-5 years of relevant work experience at a supervisory level in a related field
- Knowledge of the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA) 2014 and current Ministry of Education directives
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written)
- Proficient in computer skills
- Fluency in French is an asset

- 3 weeks of paid vacation for every completed year. Vacation entitlement increases to 4 weeks after 3consecutive years of employment, 5 weeks after 7 complete years.

Must Have:
- An up-to-date, Clear Police Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
- Valid Class G driver’s license, current driver’s abstract and reliable car are required.
- Current Standard First Aid/CPR; CPI is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours may include days, evenings, and weekends.
- Fluency in French is an asset.
- Must have 2 – 3 years related experience.
