This position will start at 3 days per week, with the expectation of moving to full time in October due to business expansion.
Hourly Rate: $28.00-$30 per hour

Job Summary:
As a highly experienced, detail-oriented, and motivated Bookkeeper, you will play a key role in our growing team. You will support the Accountant in maintaining accurate financial records and contribute to the overall efficiency of the finance function. This on-site position involves close collaboration with the Accounting Manager and covers a wide range of accounting responsibilities, including accounts payable, inventory tracking, month-end reporting, and government remittances.
Key Responsibilities:
· Update and maintain financial accounts and records in a timely and accurate manner.
· Perform full-cycle bookkeeping- accounts payable, receivable, processing, including invoice entry, payment runs, and statement reconciliations.
· Reconcile daily POS (Point of Sale) data with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online.
· Monitor cash flow and track incoming/outgoing payments.
· Organize invoices and receipts; prepare and update expense reports.
· Identify and report discrepancies or variances to the Accountant.
· Assist in preparing journal entries, trial balances, and financial/statistical reports.
· Participate in month-end close activities and support the generation of financial statements.
· Assist in the preparation and submission of monthly, quarterly, and annual government remittances, including HST, WSIB, and beer tax.
· Follow up with customers for timely payment while maintaining a professional and positive relationship.
· Process staff reimbursements and distribute daily tips/gratuities in accordance with company policies.
· Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
· Maintain and enter financial data into accounting software; ensure system is up-to-date, complete, and well-organized.
· Maintain the confidentiality and security of all financial documents and records.
· Support ongoing improvements to internal controls, processes, and reporting.
· Assist in inventory tracking and reconciliation.
· Participate in audits and other financial projects as assigned.
· Comply with company protocols, policies, and all applicable health and safety regulations (OHSA).
Required Qualifications:
· Minimum 5 years of full-cycle bookkeeping or accounting experience in a fast-paced environment.
· Formal education in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration (Diploma or Degree).
· Experience with beer tax reporting is a strong asset.
· Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial processes.
· Proven ability to interpret and apply accounting rules and standards.
· Experience with QuickBooks Online and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
· Strong data entry and analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills; able to prioritize and meet deadlines.
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills—both written and verbal.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
· High degree of professionalism, confidentiality, and ethical conduct.
· Customer service orientation and problem-solving mindset.
· Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
