Job Description

The CONTRACTS Manager is the central point of contact for any and all administrative matters relating to contracts with actual, potential or prospective clients. The position must possess considerable knowledge of administrative practices in general and a more in depth knowledge of administrative procedures within VES-ES hazardous, nonhazardous and industrial cleaning and emergency response services. Must interact with Project/Resource Managers and other key staff. This position involves travel to client locations, satellite offices and meetings.

Main Responsibilities:

  • This position is responsible for all contracts of Veolia Resource Solutions (Total Waste Management). Activities will include the negotiation of final agreement language, which may involve face to face negotiating/informational meetings with prospective clients and processing of all documents including corporate council coordination as needed.

  • This position will ensure the satellite offices are maintaining current copies of signed agreements for clients and projects/work for which they are responsible.

  • This position is responsible for emergency contact service program within total waste management.

  • Duties include advising prospective clients of regulatory requirements, ensuring required documents are prepared in a timely manner and clients are billed correctly for services rendered.

  • Will meet personally with prospective clients on an as needed basis.

  • This position will assist the appropriate General Manager of Veolia Resource Solutions in annual budget preparation. Activities also include determining past spending practices and determination of future requirements including personnel, supplies and equipment.

  • This position will assist, as needed, with the initiation and maintenance of the nation wide subcontractor network.

  • Duties will include reviewing proposed agreements and client/subcontractor contact, statement of work, service level agreements as needed.

  • This position will assist sales on an as needed basis. Activities may include joint sales calls with sales personnel to represent/explain the capabilities and workings of the total waste management division.

  • May involve presentations at conventions and sales meetings and/or presentations to various private or public committees.

Qualifications

Knowlege, Skills and Experience:

  • Considerable knowledge of hazardous materials and pertinent regulations, a bachelor’s degree in business or related degree and 10 years relevant experience is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret English technical procedures and data. Ability to speak effectively with customers and co-workers. The ability to write reports (English), effectively present information and respond to questions or complaints from other departments, customers and the public is required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. The ability to establish ranges and means of given technical information is required. Some algebraic figuring is also necessary.
  • The ability to collect, analyze and make logical deductions with technical information and to interpret both written and oral directions is required. The ability to complete assigned tasks using creative techniques is preferred.
  • Understanding of chemical properties and interactions of substances with the use of reference material. Ability to learn and apply specialized training effectively. The ability to type 25 words per minute is required. Proficiency in word or other word processing software is required. Previous supervisory experience is desired.

Work Environment:

Permanent position offered on a full-time basis, with working schedules from Monday to Friday.
