About the role
Summary: Candidate will be the main technical person for the Automation side. Including CAD Models for Concept designs. Assist the Team Leader and product sales team, distribution partners and end users with development, sales, distribution and support of our client components.
Role Overview:
Support the product sales team to drive the development of sales. Assist customers with technical requirements, product quotes, and ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and deliver quotes for specialty components by interpreting customer drawings, specifications, and parts.
- Review customer requests for quotes,
- Review customer specifications and/ or review customer parts,
- Interpret drawings and other customer documents,
- Develop customer design specifications,
- Coordinate development of design specifications with customer,
- Collaborate with customers and teams (Design Engineering, Production, etc.) to finalize design specifications, prototype adjustments, and product delivery.
- Manage and follow up on quotes, sales orders, and requests, ensuring timely delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Provide technical training and on-site support to customers on product use, maintenance, and operations.
- Track orders in the AS400 system and coordinate with teams to resolve issues.
- Support trade shows and assist with special projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or College Diploma in Mechatronics Engineering with 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of training, education and experience.
- Ability to communicate technical information courteously and effectively over the phone and face-to-face with customers and employees.
- Experience working with industry-leading CAD programs like AutoCAD, SolidWorks (preferred), Inventor and/or Fusion.
- Ability to read and understand technical documents such as assembly drawings, operation and maintenance instructions, technical specifications, and procedure manuals and
- Carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form.
- Ability to write detailed reports and correspondence.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Clear communicator, both technical and non-technical.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, email, internal company servers.
