Purpose:
Works with the Building Services Supervisor to coordinate schedules, and performs activities involved in preparing for the installing, repairing and replacing of carpentry fixtures and equipment.
Education and Training:
-
Successful completion of grade twelve or equivalent (i.e. General Education Development (GED) or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE).

Must have a valid Ontario Journeyman License

Ministry of Labour “Worker Health and Safety Awareness in 4 Steps” training certificate is required.
Experience:
-
Minimum of three (3) years recent experience in the field of carpentry and building construction
Knowledge/Skills Ability:
-
Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, specifications
-
Ability to safely handle equipment, materials and loads of 45 kilos.
-
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with a variety of medical and non-medical personnel and other clients
Personal Suitability:
-
Criminal record check satisfactory to the Hospital is required
-
Demonstrated positive work record and good attendance record
