Our Ideal Candidate

Allnorth is currently seeking a Material Coordinator to support our industrial E&I construction team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining the flow of materials to field crews, ensuring uninterrupted construction execution through proactive planning, close collaboration with foremen, and diligent oversight of procurement and receiving activities..

• Shift: Various rotations; various shifts
• Location: Southern Regina, Northern BC
• Travel & Camp: Provided for non-local residents Type: Full-time, project-based

A Day in the Life

• Collaborate with site Foremen to review 3-week lookahead schedules and confirm upcoming scopes of work
• Perform material takeoffs from drawings, considering available site inventory to avoid over-ordering
• Create detailed material requisitions and distribute to pre-qualified vendors for pricing
• Evaluate vendor quotes for cost, delivery, and compliance, then prepare purchase requests for approval
• Track purchase orders, update material logs, and expedite orders as required
• Receive materials onsite, verify packing slips, address discrepancies, and update inventory systems
• Maintain continuous communication with site supervisors, vendors, and head office to resolve material-related issues Provide weekly reporting on material status, inventory, and outstanding orders

What You’ll Bring to the Team

• Experience in material coordination or procurement in an industrial construction environment (E&I focus preferred)
• Familiarity with electrical and instrumentation materials (e.g., cable, conduit, panels, instrumentation)
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and material specifications
• Strong organization and planning skills with a proactive mindset
• Proficiency in MS Office; experience with BST or other procurement systems is an asset
• Excellent communication and coordination abilities to support dynamic field execution teams Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced construction environment
