Summary of position:

We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Senior Advisor Treasury to oversee our global treasury operations. Reporting to the Senior Director, Treasury and Tax, this position is responsible for managing the company’s cash flows, banking relationships, intercompany financing, and foreign exchange risk. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of international treasury practices and regulatory environments, particularly in Canada, the United States, and Europe.

Main responsibilities:

Cash and Liquidity Management

• Monitor daily cash positions and ensure optimal liquidity across international entities
• Develop and maintain short- and long-term cash flow forecasts
• Manage intercompany cash and repatriation strategies.

Banking and Financial Operations

• Maintain and strengthen relationships with global banking partners
• Oversee the opening, closing, and administration of bank accounts
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and banking regulations

Foreign Exchange Risk Management

• Identify and manage foreign exchange exposures
• Implement hedging strategies aligned with the company’s risk management policies
• Monitor market trends and provide insights to senior management

Treasury Systems and Reporting

• Implement and maintain Treasury Management Systems (TMS)
• Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly treasury reports for management
• Support audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and reporting requirements

Strategic Projects

• Lead treasury integration in mergers and acquisitions
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and process automation
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on capital structure planning

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting (CPA, CFA, or MBA is an asset)
• 5 to 8 years of treasury experience in a multinational environment (public company or private equity owned)
• Solid knowledge of cash management, foreign exchange risk, and banking operations
• Experience with treasury systems
• Fluency in spoken and written French and English
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
• Autonomous, detail-oriented, committed, and motivated
• Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to meet deadlines and strong professional ethics
