MDS Coating is currently looking for Production Technicians to support production in our Slemon Park, PE facility. As part of MDS Coating, you will be a member of a growing team, focused on delivering high quality parts within an aerospace environment. The successful candidates will report to the Manager - Production and will be expected to work closely with our quality team, and manufacturing engineers.

Experience is not necessary as all our Production Technicians are trained through MDS Coating’s customized in-house training program to ensure success in the role!

At MDS Coating, your responsibilities will include:

• Working as part of the Production team
• Adhering to the MDS Quality Management System
• Following detailed written instructions and checklists
• Maintaining equipment and fixtures
• Completing production tasks as directed by the supervisor
• Operating machinery for coating applications
• Monitoring and recording critical coating parameters
• Collaborating with the continuous improvement team
• Performing other related duties as assigned

MDS is looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:

• Mechanically inclined
• Exceptional work ethic
• Ability to follow detailed, written instructions
• Positive attitude and eager to learn
• Team player
• Manufacturing experience is an asset
• Experience in a clean, quality-controlled environment is an asset
• Experience operating equipment an asset
• Must be eligible to work in Canada, and live in PEI
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English
• Must meet and maintain eligibility requirements for Controlled Goods
• Ability to work rotating, 12-hour shifts; currently set as: Monday – Thursday with alternating weeks of 7am to 7pm; then 7pm to 7am.
