As an HR Business Partner at Finning, you'll provide front-line support for a full range of HR services, embedding corporate HR strategy into day-to-day work.

Job Description:

  • Collaborate with business leaders on workforce planning, succession planning, and talent management.
  • Partner with Global Centers of Excellence to implement HR strategies and programs.
  • Provide guidance on HR, workforce, and leadership matters.
  • Coach and advise managers on Collective Agreements and corporate policies.
  • Support leadership through investigations, progressive discipline, and employee terminations.
  • Address employee performance concerns and liaise with Union Business Representatives.
  • Design succession plans and identify training gaps.
  • Develop career development plans and foster a positive organizational culture.
  • Execute annual HR programs, including compensation planning, performance management, and talent reviews.
  • Educate and communicate with employees on HR initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in human resources management, labor relations management, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of professional-level HR generalist experience.
  • Previous experience with HRIS systems; Workday experience is an asset.
  • HR designation (CPHR) or significant progress towards completion is an asset.
  • Experience in a unionized heavy industrial environment is preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to identify trends and patterns.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work autonomously and influence change.

Note:

  • This position is based out of any of Finning corporate locations in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
  • Temporary, full-time role (1 year contract)
  • Monday – Friday (5x2) schedule
