About the role

Description:
You are the excitement factor in the Fireside Café … You have a passion for great food and coffees, and it shows in your job as well as your life. You will provide high quality customer service to all guests in a speedy, professional and efficient manner. This position requires shift work and is a seasonal position.

Essential Functions:

  • Deliver a positive attitude to all guests while generating a feeling of being in the friendliest atmosphere on the planet.
  • You will become proficient in creating all of coffee-based products and in-house recipes
  • You are able to work in a high-paced environment while performing multiple tasks.
  • Perform daily outside building walks and ensure the entrance to the deli is always impressive.
  • Perform side work, daily and weekly duties before, during and after your shift.
  • Assist in the restaurant as needed.
  • You are able to work in a speedy fashion while delivering great customer service.
  • Participate in creating a team environment and use animation and incentive programs to provide a fun atmosphere for employees and guests.
  • Ensure all patrons are of the legal drinking age by requesting and inspecting identification.
  • Possess the ability to serve tables and have a desire to learn.
  • Ensure personal hygiene and maintain a clean, crisp and professional appearance.

Experience/Requirements:

  • Secondary Education Diploma or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Previous experience in a guest service related job
  • Barista and restaurant service is an asset.
  • B.C. Serving it Right Certificate.
  • Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours and carry 50 lbs.
