About the role
Renew Supervision Services provides supports to parents in high conflict relationships who have experienced separation or divorce. This includes services relating to counselling, anger management and parent-child supervision. As part of our support system, we are looking for an analytical yet caring and compassionate Financial Accountant to manage the daily accounting/bookkeeping tasks on a part time basis that includes flexible work hours and ability to work remotely.
Compensation:
$35.50/hr to increase to $41.60/hr after 90 day period.
Job Description
- Responsible for general ledgers including reconciling schedules, confirming balances, and completing monthly analysis
- Investigate and interpret any reconciling items and setting up/maintaining the integrity of the general ledger accounts
- Perform monthly, quarterly and year-end close activities (G/L capture, variance analysis, consolidation) and prepare regulatory compliance reporting (e.g. tax filings)
- Prepare financial statements and disclosures
- Ensure correct coding is being used and payments are being processed on a timely basis
- Create and enforce accounting policies and procedures and provide advice on accounting implications based on decisions made by business partners
Responsible for A/R, A/P and collections.
- Support business partners in decision-making through process design and execution
- Support increase automation throughout the organization, particularly in Finance
- Process invoice submissions into Bottomline for paymentQualifications
- University degree in business, finance or accounting with a focus on Accounting
Professional accounting designation, preferably CPA or equivalent
- 3+ years of Finance, Accounting, Analytics, Financial Reporting, Accounting Reporting experience
- Strong analytic, accounting and problem-solving skills
- Self-starter with great attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Excel (formulas, pivots, lookups), QuickBooks and accounting systems
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- A self-starter with excellent time management skills that can plan and deliver against deadlines
- Strong design and execution experience in Financial controls
- Well organized and can see the ‘big picture’ along with the details
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written)
- Ability to work from home with minimal supervision

We are looking for caring professionals, who are part of a professional regulatory body or association (e.g., ECE, Social Work, CYW), to join our team of Supervised Access Workers (or Family Support Workers) who monitor custody visitations between parent and child(ren).
