About the role
As a Senior Data Valorization Advisor, P&C Insurance in the Data and Analytics Department, you’re at the heart of initiatives to modernize our data environments, document business processes and develop data foundations, data leveraging through analytics and data governance. The department’s contribution will directly influence the future of data use as a strategic asset. You take on a leadership role to develop approaches adapted to a wide range of business needs and in complex, strategic data governance initiatives. You make recommendations on data use and compliance with applicable data governance documents for strategic, innovative cross-sector projects that have a major impact on the organization’s priorities. Files have a high degree of operational and conceptual complexity, requiring a comprehensive and in-depth understanding of the P&C insurance industry. More specifically, you will be required to :
- Serve as a data use specialist advisor and subject matter expert for various stakeholders, as well as a resource person and coach for decision-making bodies
- Help develop data valorization strategies with data producers and users for the benefit of members and clients, in keeping with sound data governance
- Serve as a specialist advisor to teams in developing and applying data management processes and controls
- Test and validate new data flows and the integration, transformation and consolidation of data from different systems into structures that are adapted to a wide range of contexts
- Produce reports to identify needs and opportunities for various business sectors based on their data needs
- Operationalize and improve standards, processes, tools and best practices related to data governance and valorization foundations
- Document business processes that use data
- Coordinate, monitor, measure and communicate about the performance of the standards and the practices in place, including changes in data use maturity

What you bring to the table
- Bachelor’s degree in data science, information technology, statistics or a related field
- A minimum of six years of relevant experience
- Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
- Experience with IT transformation projects or programs (cloud computing)
- Preferred experience in a multidisciplinary role involving IT, business and data
- Expertise with data and analytics tools and their application in a business environment
- Proficiency in SQL, SAS and equivalent languages
- Knowledge of the insurance sector
- Knowledge of French required
