We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Service Advisor to join our team at a busy automotive dealership. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their service needs are met with exceptional customer service. This role requires a blend of mechanical knowledge and strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with both customers and technicians.
Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, assessing their service needs.
- Provide detailed information about services offered, including repairs, maintenance, and pricing.
- Utilize strong customer service skills to build rapport with clients and address any concerns or questions.
- Collaborate with mechanics to ensure accurate diagnosis of vehicle issues and relay this information to customers.
- Process cash handling transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Promote additional services through upselling techniques while maintaining customer trust and satisfaction.
- Maintain organized records of customer interactions, service orders, and follow-up communications.
- Stay updated on automotive repair trends and dealership promotions to provide informed recommendations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive repair environment is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge to understand vehicle systems and repairs.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse clientele.
- Proven sales experience with an aptitude for upselling services.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly.
- A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional automotive certifications are a plus.
