Project Manager

Our public sector client is seeking a skilled Project Manager to lead design and construction projects at their stations and facilities.

In this role, you will manage project bundles, ensuring each project is completed safely, on time, within budget, and with minimal disruption to the customer experience. You will coordinate projects through all phases, from design to construction and handover, while overseeing procurement, documentation, risk reporting, and approvals.

The role includes regular site inspections, managing vendors, enforcing safety standards, and resolving customer satisfaction issues. You will also track project progress, monitor budgets, and lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance the project delivery cycle.

Qualifications:

  • College diploma in Civil/Mechanical/Electrical/Industrial Engineering Technology , Building Science , or a related field.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, Certified Engineering Technician (CET) , or Eng. designation is an asset.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in planning, designing, and constructing transit or maintenance facilities.
  • Strong knowledge of engineering theories, practices, and principles, particularly in civil , mechanical , electrical , and industrial engineering , as well as building science and architecture .
  • Extensive experience in project management practices, including cost control, scheduling, compliance with codes and standards, and contract legislation.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).

This opportunity is for 6 months, and there is a possibility of extension.
