Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to join our team. This field-based role is responsible for building strong client relationships, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, and driving sales growth. You will represent our brand with professionalism and integrity, ensuring a seamless customer experience from initial contact to after-sales support.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Sales Development
- Develop and execute growth strategies that align with company objectives
- Identify new business opportunities in target markets and customer segments
Client Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with new and existing customers through regular contact and personalized service
- Understand customer needs and provide tailored product recommendations and solutions
Lead Generation & Conversion
- Generate and qualify leads, manage the sales pipeline, and convert prospects into loyal clients
Product Demonstration & Consultation
- Deliver in-person trailer presentations and product walkthroughs when required
- Communicate product benefits and technical details with confidence and clarity
Negotiation & Deal Closure
- Prepare and present proposals, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and close sales
Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support
- Work closely with internal teams including marketing, operations, and customer service to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
Reporting & CRM Management
- Maintain accurate records in the CRM system for all interactions, opportunities, and follow-ups
- Track sales activities and prepare reports on progress against targets
Daily Duties
- Travel throughout assigned territory for client meetings and onsite visits
- Conduct daily outreach through phone calls and face-to-face meetings
- Represent the brand at trade shows, industry events, or client demos
- Actively participate in sales meetings and share insights on market trends and customer feedback
- Adhere to company processes and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Qualifications
Education
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred)
Experience
- 3–5 years of proven success in outside B2B sales, preferably in automotive, construction, equipment, or a related industry
Key Competencies
- Strong sales acumen and persuasive communication skills
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal abilities
- Confidence in product knowledge delivery and consultative selling
- Well-organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable using Microsoft Office and CRM tools
- Familiarity with trailer, landscaping, construction, or contractor equipment needs is an asset
