Summary Under the supervision of the principal, or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. The assistance takes a variety of forms, such as preparing class materials, correcting and recording assignments, and a wide variety of other services.
Description Classified position is announced to all applicants. Applications must be submitted no later than Tuesday, July 22, 2025. 5.9 hours per day/174 days per year /Salary Grade 3 $16.92 per hour (2025-26 Support Salary Table) (Promotions result in a minimum 5% increase for a promotion) NOTE: LOOKING FOR AN INDIVUDAL WITH EXPERIENCE WORKING WITH JUNIOR HIGH AGED STUDENTS. STUDENT SUCCESS COORDINATORS CREATE GOALS WITH INDIVIDUAL STUDENTS AND SUPPORT THEM ACADEMICALLY. FOR QUESTIONS REGARDING THE POSITION, PLEASE CONTACT ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL LONG AT CLONG@DSDMAIL.NET GENERAL FUNCTION: Under the supervision of the principal, or other supervisor, the teacher assistant assists the teacher with the conduct of a class. The assistance takes a variety of forms, such as preparing class materials, correcting and recording assignments, and a wide variety of other services. QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: 1. High school graduation or equivalent education and/or experience. 2. The equivalent of two years (48 semester hours) full-time education at an institution of higher education; or an associate's degree; or the ability to pass a Utah State Office of Education approved Para-Professional Test. 3.
