JOB DESCRIPTION
We are seeking a detail-oriented Business Development Associate to support growth efforts across Quebec and Atlantic Canada within the remote camp and hospitality sector. This role will contribute to the development and coordination of proposals, budget estimates, and vendor sourcing to support new business opportunities. The successful candidate will assist with RFP submissions, vendor negotiations, and project logistics planning, while also supporting relationship-building efforts with key stakeholders, including Indigenous communities and potential clients. Fluency in both English and French is a mandatory requirement.
This is a remote position that requires frequent travel.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with identifying and exploring new business opportunities to increase revenue and profitability.
- Support the development of responses to RFPs, RFQs, and other client requests or bidding processes, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Coordinate the preparation of business proposals and estimates, including budgets, cost breakdowns, and supporting documentation.
- Establish and grow long-term partnerships with key clients, strategic partners, and Indigenous communities.
- Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to drive strategic decisions and support realistic revenue and growth targets.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives, keeping them informed about relevant business opportunities.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, professional associations, and events to strengthen networks and generate leads.
- Contribute to building and maintaining respectful partnerships with Indigenous communities and ensure their needs and values are reflected in business practices and initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree is required; a specialization or major in finance, business, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong experience in preparing budgets, estimates, and tracking documentation, with prior involvement in coordinating business proposals and supporting RFP submissions.
- Experience in sourcing and negotiating with vendors or managing supplier relationships
- Experience in hospitality services or operational leadership roles is considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, along with knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications, Salesforce CRM, and Adobe Acrobat.
- Experience engaging with Indigenous communities and a deep understanding of Indigenous culture and values.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and French is required.
