Position Summary:
The Front Desk Ambassador will be responsible for servicing guests as they arrive at the hotel, including welcoming them to the resort and checking them in while ensuring the highest level of guest satisfaction. This person will be responsible for becoming familiar with packages, group rates and on-site and local amenities offered by the resort. The Front Desk Ambassador serves as the face of the organization, managing various tasks to enhance the overall customer experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Greet all guests in a friendly and welcoming manor.
- Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key.
- Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit. Process all check-outs including resolving any late and disputed charges.
- Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns in a timely manor.
- Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in, notifying Housekeeping of late departures, early arrival and special requests.
- Communicate parking procedures to guests/visitors and dispatch Porter or Shuttle Drivers as needed.
- Supply guests with directions and information regarding property and local areas of interest.
- Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy
- Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Count cash float at the beginning and end of shift. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.
- Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the Front Desk. Monitor the neatness of the lobby.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested.
Skills, Abilities, Attributes:
- Flexibility with working all shifts, including overnight shifts, weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
- Self-motivated, friendly, upbeat, outgoing, mature person who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, customer focused and detail oriented.
- Organizational skills, ability to multi-task with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of computers and cash handling experience.
- Professional attitude and appearance.
- Must be a team player.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- 1-2 years of Front Desk Agent/Guest Services is preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service is preferred
- Previous Hotel experience is preferred
