Atrial fibrillation can cause stroke, heart failure, and other heart-related complications.

Kardium has a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market: The Globe® System. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

As a member of the Quality Control Team, you will have direct responsibility for incoming inspection activities to support the development, manufacturing, and sales of Kardium products.

Please note that this opportunity is an on-site work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Meaningful work you will be a part of

Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Performing incoming inspections of printed circuit boards and mechanical components according to engineering drawings.
  • Testing electrical and mechanical sub-assemblies according to established work instructions.
  • Researching and recommending reliable measurement systems.
  • Producing formal reports of inspection and measurement results, and initiating non-conformity reports (NCRs) when required.

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:

  • 2+ years of hands-on Quality Control experience, preferably in regulated manufacturing industries such as medical devices or automotive.
  • The ability to interpret mechanical drawings to understand specified dimensional and functional characteristics to be measured, tested, or inspected.
  • Proficiency with test and measurement equipment such as oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and high-precision microscopes.
  • An associate degree or diploma in a technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, technical training, and/or related experience.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, as well as strong technical documentation abilities.
  • A willingness and ability to take on additional responsibilities as appropriate.

Compensation

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.

As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.

  • $55,000 - $70,000 (CAD Annually)
