Qualifications, Experience & Ability

• French Immersion Teacher

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Education Degree, and;
    • French Second Language Methodology, and;
    • Superior French Proficiency (as verified by the OPI instrument), and;
    • Teaching methods courses at corresponding levels (Grades 4 to 6 Core French requires Elementary methodologies, Grades 7 to 12 Core French requires Secondary methodologies , or; deemed qualified by the Teacher Qualifications Chart

  • Minimum Experience

  • Minimum Ability

    Predominately demonstrated through the interview process, the candidate will be assessed on their ability to effectively deal with situations that are likely to arise. External applicants must meet a minimum threshold of 70%.

• Social Studies Teacher

  • Minimum Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Education Degree, and;
    • Major, minor or Master's Degree in Social Studies, and; Secondary endorsation or a minimum of three (3) years' teaching in a High School setting, or; deemed qualified by the Teacher Qualifications Chart

  • Minimum Experience

  • Minimum Ability
