Responsibilities:

Maintain accounting records for all invoices, deposits, rent and service fee collections, etc., as set out in the administrative policy and procedure.

Maintain Vacant Hour Report weekly and upload to SharePoint when advised.

Update tabs in the Purchase Journal for the site. Tabs will be determined by the Executive Director, typically Admin and Agency but is subject to change by the Executive Director.

Perform payroll duties necessary for the calculation of accurate wages and salaries of all staff.

Maintain confidentiality of all financial, personnel and resident data.

Be knowledgeable of and practice residence's fire and safety programs.
Job Description - Leadership:

Oversees and co-ordinates front desk staff and/or housekeeping depending on the business.

Participates as a member of the work team and provides support to other team members.

Actively participate in the Power Up at 10am and 4pm with Front Line Team Members.

Actively participates in the weekly management/leadership meeting and provides updates.
Job Description – Marketing & Occupancy:

Welcomes and orients new residents, family members and other visitors.

Effectively communicates and interacts with residents, family members, visitors and volunteers in a courteous and professional manner.
Job Description - Accounting:
-
Post and balance subsidiary ledger(s) such as accounts payable or receivable.
-
Examine and code invoices or vouchers for proper accounting distribution.
-
Assist in preparing budget, income and expenditure reports.
-
Prepare all resident billings. Handle payments and all queries concerning billings from residents and/or their families.
-
Maintain resident trust accounts in accordance with legislative requirements, if applicable.
-
Prepare bank deposits. Handle and balance petty cash for the residence.
Job Description - Payroll:
-
Calculate and prepare payroll (and/or prepare payroll data for machine processing) including deductions and taxes, against tight deadlines. Identify pay anomalies from familiarity with residence's practice and obtain resolution from appropriate authorities.

Maintain knowledge of various pay rates, conditions of collective agreement(s), overtime and sick pay arrangements, holiday pay, etc.

Process and forward payments withheld for taxes, union dues, employee benefits, etc. Administer benefits.

Answer routine questions and explain deductions or provide other information to employees or employees' supervisors.
Job Description: Risk Management and General Safety
-
Partners with community team to ensure community is in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety requirements and promotion of Risk Management programs and/or policies; adherence to safety rules and regulations.

Practices safety procedures at all times including Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), fire safety procedures including extinguishers (as applicable), SDSs (Safety Data Sheets) and Lockout Tagout procedures.

Reports all accidents/incidents immediately.
-
Reports all unsafe and hazardous conditions/equipment immediately.
-
Complies with all infection control techniques, placement of biohazard containers and removal techniques, procedures and policies.
-
Participates in Fire Safety and Mock Disaster procedures.
-
Review and update the Learning Centre for Seniors for Team Member Education.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00-$47,000.00 per hour
