The Technical Engineer, PACS Migration is responsible for planning, executing, and validating the migration of imaging data from legacy Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) to modern enterprise platforms. This role involves close collaboration with project managers, healthcare IT teams, and clinical stakeholders to ensure seamless data migration with minimal impact on clinical operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Plan and execute data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes from legacy PACS to target systems.
- Perform comprehensive data analysis and validation to ensure accuracy and integrity during migration.
- Develop scripts and utilize specialized migration tools to automate data transfer.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data migration, system interoperability, and integration.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams, vendors, and customers to define migration strategies and timelines.
- Document migration processes, generate technical documentation, and provide training support as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare standards, including DICOM, HL7, and HIPAA regulations.

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with PACS systems, including data migration and system integration.
- Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) and database querying (e.g., SQL).
- Strong understanding of DICOM standards and HL7 interfaces.
- Experience with healthcare IT environments, particularly imaging workflows.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical skills, and attention to detail.

Our salary range for this role falls between $85,100.00 and $136,100.00. The final salary offer will depend on several key factors, including the candidate's level of experience, their specific skill set, and the overall alignment with the job requirements.
