About the role
PiinPoint is a high-growth SaaS company based in Canada, empowering North American retailers with predictive analytics and real estate insights. Our platform helps leading brands make faster, more accurate decisions about where and how they grow. As we scale, we’re looking for a Finance Lead to join us on a 4-month contract to stabilize and optimize our finance function with the opportunity to transition to a permanent role thereafter.
As Finance Lead, you will own our day-to-day finance operations while supporting our long-term strategy. You’ll partner directly with the CEO and executive team to deliver accurate reporting, improve forecasting, and ensure sound financial planning during this critical growth period.
This is a remote, full-time contract role (40 hours/week) with flexibility in schedule and strong potential to become a permanent team member.
Responsibilities
- Work Collaborate with our bookkeeper to complete month-end close and deliver timely, accurate financial statements (P&L, cash flow, balance sheet)
- Lead annual budgeting, ongoing cash flow forecasting, and multi-scenario financial planning
- Monitor and analyze core SaaS performance metrics, including ARR, CAC, churn, burn rate, and runway
- Prepare and present monthly and quarterly financial reports for executive leadership and the board
- Support our accounts receivable process and manage payables, coordinating with external bookkeeping
- Ensure financial practices comply with internal controls, US/Canadian GAAP standards, and local tax regulations
- Build and enhance financial models to support decisions related to pricing, compensation, and strategic growth
- Identify and recommend cost-saving measures and operational efficiencies across the business
Qualifications
- 5+ years of finance experience (ideally within SaaS or tech companies)
- Strong financial modeling skills and command of Excel / Google Sheets
- Experience with QuickBooks
- Familiarity with North American financial standards and remote work culture
- Excellent English communication skills
- CPA designation
