The Opportunity
Keyano College’s Academic Success Centre is currently seeking a Work Integrated Learning Student Assistant for September 2025 – December 2025. Reporting to the Manager of the Academic Success Centre, the Work Integrated Learning Student Assistant supports the Work Integrated Learning Coordinator as they develop, coordinate, and facilitate preparatory, ongoing, and alumni employment services at Keyano College.
Note: this is not a remote or hybrid work opportunity, you will be required to work on campus and relocate to Fort McMurray, AB. Preference will be given to candidates currently living in Fort McMurray.

Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities include student records management, monitoring of email and the Career Services Management System, overseeing correspondence and handling inquiries that can be addressed with straightforward responses. The role entails the use of computer-based tools to identify, manage, and document a wide range of activities associated with program management, MS Office applications facilitating program delivery, and Keyano College based applications for the accurate recording of activities associated with student marks, program eligibility and program activity data entry. The term for this position is September 2025 – December 2025.
Qualifications

Must be a registered credit student in a Business Administration Management Coop diploma at Keyano College 2025-2026, having successfully completed all year 1 courses by the end of Summer 2025 with a program GPA of 2.00 or higher.

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Keyanomail, Moodle, Microsoft 365 (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Teams).

Able to adapt approach to accommodate individual student needs, learning styles and special educational needs.

Able to work with students with diverse learning needs in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

Work effectively within a team environment.

Skills necessary for effective document design (such as proficient English language, spelling, writing and proof reading skills), and ability to establish audience-appropriate reading and vocabulary levels within a document. Proficiency in MS Office Suite.

High attention to detail.

Basic knowledge of the campus and campus services.

Highly dependable and punctual.
Nice to have:
- Previous clerical experience
- Knowledge of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FOIP).
Compensation and Benefits
CUPE Student Rate - $20.43 per hour
