about the role
Our Production Assistants are individuals who are committed to the delivery on our promises to our clients through diligent jobsite and oversight of our professional painters. They are good with people, both inside the company and out. They naturally connect with our clients, in a friendly, warm, welcoming and professional manner. They are provided with coaching and direction from their Project Manager. They are detail oriented, efficient, and experienced in various painting and coating applications. They demonstrate our value to clients by confidently revealing a remarkable finished product.
We rely on our Production Assistants to act as the custodians of our jobsites, ensuring they are safe, clean, supplied, and on schedule. They step in and assist where needed, offer guidance, and ensure the integrity of the project.
responsibilities
- Responsible for ensuring all jobsites are properly supplied and on target, according to project specifications
- Confirm and place all paint and material orders and organize the suppliers’ delivery of paint and materials to jobsites
- Ensure daily input paint expenses and adjust time clocks for each project underway
- Pick up and deliver equipment, paint, and supplies as needed to and from jobsites
- Use equipment tracking system to ensure equipment always accounted for
- Manage inventory system in warehouse to ensure inventory always up to date
- Manage equipment rental system to contractors
- Prepare jobsites to be worked on by doing any necessary pressure washing and taking before photos
- Being able to do any touchups as per the request of the Lead Painter or Project Manager
- Communicate with Project Manager on jobsite progress, and communicate any updates on timeline, quality of work, payment, issues, and staffing needs on site
- Perform final walkthroughs with clients to ensure 100% client satisfaction – perform any necessary touch-ups
- Adhere to and ensure jobsite compliance to company safety policies, and attend any required training courses provided by the company
- Keep an organized schedule and workspace, and demonstrate company core values outlined in our mandate
- Be an extra pair of hands as a helper if needed on a jobsite
QUALIFICATIONS
- Product and industry knowledge in residential, commercial and industrial painting
- Team player with a customer service background, strong work ethic and a positive can-do attitude
- Works with a sense of urgency and is able to multitask, while being open minded and willing to learn new skills
- Reliable vehicle, valid driver’s license, subject to a screening of driver’s abstract
- Data-paid smartphone and proficiency with app use, cloud technology and various means of communication
- Discipline in time management, communication & professionalism
- Able to meet the physical demands of the nature of work, ex. Climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong in written/spoken English; High school diploma or equivalent; Bondable
