Service and Interaction Design are at the heart of our design process. Our designers are a diverse team of strategic, empathetic thinkers and deep interaction specialists who envision and craft experiences — from service ecosystems to digital products.
As a Design Director, you’ll lead integrated design practices and delivery across one or more accounts. You’ll oversee multidisciplinary design teams to create thoughtful, effective, and emotionally resonant solutions for our clients. You'll also manage Design Leads, collaborate with stakeholders, and shape strategic direction alongside program leadership.

Role Description A professional in this position, at this level within Accenture has the following responsibilities:- Drive design quality, practice, and offerings that meet business and user goals as well as create new offerings.

Lead design points of view, proposal creation, and relationship management across one to two key clients.

Deeply understand the market and can speak to our clients and the industry about our content, craft, and trends.

Own craft and capability output across key projects, ensuring each project deliverable is of the highest quality.

Assess performance and provide career guidance and performance decisions for members of the studio Design team.

Provide directional oversight of individual project team's work and assume overall accountability for it.

Develop pitch decks and project approaches that lead to exciting, inspiring, and well-shaped work for our Design team elevating storytelling.

Cultivate relationships with new and existing clients. Basic Qualifications These are the minimum requirements for an aspirant to be considered for the position applying to:- 10+ years’ experience of {Interaction/Product Design and/or Service} Design across varied users, business problems, and devices

5+ years leadership/management experience; demonstrated experience leading multiple cross-discipline teams.

5+ year of experience planning, designing, facilitating, and synthesizing workshops
-
5+ years' experience with driving and applying user-centered design processes.

English is required for this position as this role will regularly interact with English-speaking stakeholders across Canada. Due to the significant high volume of interactions with these English-speaking stakeholders, which is inherent to this position, it is not possible to reorganize the company's activities to avoid this requirement. Preferred Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related design field (Service Design, Interaction/Product Design, Visual Design, HCI, etc.).

Strong working knowledge of design tools: Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, etc.

Experience with brand design principles, visual systems, and design for emotion and storytelling.

Ability to mentor across disciplines and elevate the creative expression of service and product design work.

Ability to learn new software quickly; experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Confluence, or JIRA is a plus.

Knowledge of and experience with applying user-centered design processes.

Understanding of areas of specialization within the greater design landscape, including but not limited to Design Research, and Content Design.

Ability to create experience maps, user journeys and service blueprints, interaction models, flows, and wireframes.

Familiarity with rapid prototyping methods, ranging from paper sketching to digital prototypes.

Comfortable with a fast-paced, multidisciplinary consulting environment. Compensation at Accenture varies depending on a wide array of factors, which may include but are not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by local law, Accenture provides a reasonable range of compensation, based on full-time employment, for roles that may be hired in British Columbia as set forth below.
