Lead Data Engineer
Job Description
As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data solutions that support the organization’s analytics and reporting needs. You will work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure that data is accessible, reliable, and secure.
Main Responsibilities
- Design and develop data pipelines and ETL processes.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to understand data requirements.
- Ensure data quality and integrity through testing and validation.
- Optimize data storage and retrieval processes.
- Mentor junior data engineers and provide technical guidance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Proficiency in SQL and experience with data warehousing solutions.
- Strong programming skills in Python or Java.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark).
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI).
- Knowledge of machine learning concepts and frameworks.

- This position is available in Toronto, Ontario, and Halifax, Nova Scotia.
