Position Overview:
The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the successful completion of a wide range of departmental and corporate initiatives. The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with management and other business leaders to analyze and change business processes, involving MPOWER, SAP, SimCorp Dimension and several other systems used within Fund & Portfolio Services as well as providing ongoing support on these applications.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, recommend, implement and manage various Fund Services solutions that in turn support a specific company-wide strategic or department initiative.
- Administer and develop interfaces between existing and new hardware and applications.
- Provide support to various departments within Fund Services on a wide range of applications.
- Participate in project planning and status meetings.
- Accountability for project results with a focus on impact to operations, mitigation of risks, time/cost benefits, quality and scope
- Execution and implementation of change management methodology for system changes including documentation and enhancing controls where necessary
- Prepare monthly financial reporting packages
Qualifications:
- University degree with a major in finance and accounting.
- A post-graduate business degree or accounting designation is an asset.
- 4 to 7 years’ experience in the Financial Industry
- Advanced knowledge and proficiency on MS Office, Microsoft Access and Visual Basic.
- Proven effective analytical, organizational and decision making skills required.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills sufficient to articulate factual and conceptual information on issues requiring detailed explanation.
- Must be able to work within tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability in executing project deliverables.
- Must be able to work autonomously and within a team environment as well as an ability to maintain productive and collaborative relationships with colleagues and senior management within the Company to obtain, provide, verify and discuss information.
