Title: Community Engagement Coordinator
Salary: $66,597 - $83,246 - $91,571 per year (pay range explained below)
Contract: Term - 9 months
Hours: 8:30am – 4:30pm (core hours 9am-3pm Monday-Friday)
Location: Vancouver Coastal Region (Central Coast - Kitasoo, Nuxalk, Heiltsuk, Wuikinuxv)
About The Role Are you passionate about meaningful collaboration and supporting BC First Nations communities? As a Community Engagement Coordinator , you will play a key role in strengthening relationships, fostering communication, and driving impactful community initiatives.
In this dynamic role, you will develop and support local engagement activities as part of a regional team, ensuring that community voices are heard and valued. You’ll help integrate and organize engagement functions and resources to support strategic and operational goals, making a real difference at the local and sub-regional levels.

We are currently seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to cover the following subregion: Central Coast
Whether you’re already based in this area or are open to traveling to support these communities, we’d love to hear from you.
About You To be successful in this role you will have / be:
- A University degree with specialization in Health Sciences, Education or Social Services or a related field, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and professional experience
- Relevant, recent and significant experience in the provision of coordination support to First Nation communities (usually acquired over a 3-5 year period), or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Experience working with BC First Nationsn people at a community and/or political level including in the area of community engagement and community/organizational development
- Experience supporting traditional ceremonies and cultural practices.
- A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level. Internal employee compensation will be determined as per the FNHA Employee Total Compensation Policy.
