What You Will Be Doing:

Develop and maintain production schedules to meet customer demand while optimizing resources and minimizing costs.

Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, components, and finished goods to ensure adequate stock availability while avoiding overstock situations.

Utilize historical data, sales forecasts, and market trends to predict future demand and adjust production plans accordingly.

Collaborate with procurement, logistics, and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources for production activities.

Assess production capacity and identify potential bottlenecks or constraints, proposing solutions to optimize efficiency.

Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction within the production planning process, implementing best practices and standard procedures.

Incorporate and adhere to 5S principles in production planning activities, promoting cleanliness, organization, and efficiency in workspaces and processes.

Effectively communicate production schedules, priorities, and changes to relevant stakeholders, including production supervisors, managers, and other departments.

Anticipate and mitigate potential risks to production schedules, such as equipment failures, material shortages, or unforeseen delays.

Maintain accurate records of production plans, schedules, and performance metrics, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.

Generate reports and performance metrics related to production planning activities, providing insights for decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For
When selecting candidates, we will be looking for the following:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or related field.

Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment, with a demonstrated understanding of and commitment to 5S principles.

Proficiency in using production planning software and ERP systems.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make sound decisions.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different functional areas.

Detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.

Understanding of health and safety regulations and practices within a manufacturing setting.

Authorized to work in Canada
Other valued experience, knowledge, skills & abilities:
- Certification in production and inventory management an asset.
