Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic Category and Shopper Development Manager to join our Head Office team in North York, reporting to the Category and Shopper Development Leader. The ideal candidate will be a high achiever with strong analytical skills, adept problem-solving abilities, and strategic planning expertise. This role focuses on advancing our category and shopper strategies within the Beverage categories (Iced Tea, Hot Chocolate, Coffee Enhancers & Milk Modifiers) to achieve set objectives and targets.

A day in the life of a Category and Shopper Development Manager

  • Leads the overall Integrated Commercial Planning (ICP) process for the Beverage categories (Iced Tea, Hot Chocolate, Coffee Enhancers & Milk Modifiers) and ensures customer representation and effective category contribution to deliver against key milestones
  • Owns key updates to Sales playbook components ongoing, including channel strategy and dynamic updates of 4P’s
  • Measures the execution of the playbook and plan assumptions and adjusts accordingly
  • Lead Retail Sales priorities and communication to field sales teams for our Beverage business
  • Work with Marketing & Retail Sales to develop best in class plans for Iced Tea & Hot Chocolate execution
  • Develop and lead customer selling stories to achieve business objectives
  • Create and implement an approach to managing key customers strategically, efficiently and effectively across the value chain (“Winning with Customers”)
  • Lead activation and sales communication plans with marketing, sales and the customer (all channels) for specific formats
  • Prepare inputs throughout the year to update the sales team on progress against annual plan
  • Collaborates with supply chain resources as an input into the sales forecast
  • Represents Category Shopper Development in I2L product commercialization and owner of Channel Pack and Pricing Strategy formulation, documentation, and communication as applicable
  • Lead sales recommendations for ongoing sku rationalization and optimization

What will make you successful?

  • 4+ years of combined Sales and Category Management experience
  • Proficiency in extracting and interpreting Nielsen data and analytics is essential
  • Familiarity with Customer POS data, Nielsen Suite, Retail Link, Circana, IRI, and Numerator is regarded as an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Power BI
  • Post secondary education in Business Administration with a focus on Sales, Marketing, Finance or related field
  • Outstanding project management, relationship management, and communication skills.
  • Exceptional leadership capabilities, promoting collaboration and possessing strong interpersonal skills.
