Summary
We are seeking a proactive and goal oriented Inside Sales / Lead Generation Specialist to support our growing sales team. This role combines lead generation, customer outreach, and key sales administration duties to ensure smooth sales operations. The ideal candidate is highly organized, a strong communicator, and comfortable interacting with both customers and internal teams.
Responsibilities
- Identify and qualify potential leads through various channels including online research, networking, and referrals.
- Engage with prospects via phone, email, and social media to generate interest in our products.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop effective strategies for lead conversion.
- Maintain accurate records of lead interactions in Salesforce or similar CRM systems.
- Conduct market research to identify trends and opportunities for business growth.
- Assist in developing marketing materials that effectively communicate our value proposition.
Requirements
- Lead Generation:
- Assist in maintaining pricing lists, promotional documents, and distributor data.
- Assist in the tracking of sales team expenses
- Support customer service in processing sales orders and input customer information accurately in the system as needed
- Research and identify potential clients through outbound calls, emails, and online platforms (e.g., LinkedIn, Zoom Info, Industry directories).
- Qualify incoming inquiries and assess potential fit for UCAN products.
- Maintain and grow a database of prospects using CRM tools (e.g., customer data, lead status, next steps)).
- Sales Support:
- Coordinate introductory calls and meetings for the outside sales team.
- Provide product information, pricing, and support to potential clients.
- Assist in preparing quotes, proposals, and sales documentation.
- Customer Relationship Management:
- Maintain regular communication with prospects and customers.
- Build rapport and trust with decision-makers and influencers.
- Track interactions and feedback in CRM to ensure proper follow-up and pipeline health.
- Market Intelligence:
- Monitor industry trends, construction projects, and competitor activity.
- Provide insights to the sales and marketing teams to support strategy development.
- Sales Administration:
- Assist in maintaining pricing lists, promotional documents, and distributor data.
- Assist in the tracking of sales team expenses
- Support customer service in processing sales orders and input customer information accurately in the system as needed
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in inside sales, telemarketing, or lead generation (preferably in the construction or industrial products sector).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
- Proficiency with CRM software (HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Highly organized and self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
- Knowledge of fastening products or construction industry is a strong asset.
- Bilingual (English/French) is a plus.

ABOUT UCAN Established in 1967 by Harry Weitz, UCAN FASTENING PRODUCTS has been supplying high quality masonry and metal fasteners to the construction industry for over 50 years. With his extensive technical background in construction and architecture, Harry has always possessed a keen interest in fastener design, function and application. Starting out as a wholesale distributor of innovative fastening products, made in the USA and Europe, UCAN was instrumental in bringing wedge anchors, concrete screws and galvanized spiral nail anchors to the Canadian market in the 1950s and 60s. Harry personally developed the EP932 tie wire anchor, which reduced installation time by 50%, as well as UCAN SCRU-IT®'s unique and efficient scalloped cutting thread. These fasteners gained immediate success in the marketplace. From its' humble beginnings in part of a cramped warehouse, UCAN currently operates from an efficient 35,000 sq ft facility in Toronto.
