Customer Service Representative - Administrator
The Salt Depot is a year-round operational company with a diverse range of divisions dedicated to serving contractors and municipalities. As a trusted supplier, we sell bulk road salt and de-icing technologies along with landscape supplies and precast concrete blocks, In addition to our product offerings, we also provide haulage, road sweeping, and water truck services.
Job Description:
An Immediate full-time opening for an experienced, self-motivated Customer Service Representative who will have direct contact with our customers with Administration responsibilities. The successful candidate must have the ability to work on their own with minimal supervision and a business owner mindset. Training and orientation will be provided.
Main Duties:
- Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Process customer purchase orders accurately and coordinate with the logistics team for timely fulfillment
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer orders, returns, and service issues
- Provide product information, pricing, and lead times to customers and sales team members
- Work closely with sales representatives to support account needs and resolve customer concerns
- Assist with preparing quotes, invoices, shipping documents, and other customer-related documentation
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate product availability to customers and internal teams
- Support post-sales processes including returns, credits, and warranty claims as required
- Identify and escalate issues or potential improvements to enhance customer satisfaction
- Work, collaborate, interact and communicate with colleagues and supervisors
- Other duties may be assigned by supervisor as needed
Requirements:
- Customer service oriented
- excellent oral and written communication skills
- proficiency in English, both verbal and written
- excellent listening and understanding skills
- experience troubleshooting customer inquiries/problems
- strong organizing skills – work schedule, documentation, follow-ups
- attention to detail
- strong problem solving/decision making ability
- team player
- time management
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to perform all other physical requirements associated with this type of work
Wages:
- To Be Negotiated Based on Requirements, Experience and/or Licensing
- Benefits Available
Location:
- Work located in Scarborough in person.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
Flexible language requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
